About me
Finding Your Way Forward
It's common to feel alone, lost, or overwhelmed, particularly at this time of year. You might be grappling with something specific, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or a relationship that's fallen apart, or maybe you just feel "not right" and can't quite put your finger on why. Whatever's brought you here, I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where we can explore what's going on for you, at your own pace. You don't need to have the right words or fit into any labels or boxes. My focus is simply you.
I'm Leo, a BACP and UKCP registered counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, and Counselling Tutor. Alongside the wide range of issues clients bring to me, I have particular experience supporting people through relationship difficulties, anxiety, and struggles with self-esteem and identity, that quiet, unsettled feeling of not being sure who you are anymore. Training and supervising other counsellors keeps me closely connected to best practice, while sitting with clients week to week keeps me grounded in what this actually feels like to live through, not just what the textbooks say about it.
A Personalised Approach
Therapy works best when it's shaped around you, not squeezed into a set method. I work in an integrative, humanistic way, which really just means our early sessions are about getting to know what you need, rather than me steering you down a fixed path. For some people that looks like talking through something painful that's just happened; for others, it's gently noticing a pattern that keeps turning up in relationships or at work, and working out together where it comes from.
What stays constant, whatever we're working on, is the relationship between us, one built on honesty, kindness, and zero judgment. Over time, this tends to bring more self-understanding, more self-compassion, and more freedom to respond to life's difficulties differently, rather than feeling stuck in the same old patterns.
I offer both short-term, focused work and longer, open-ended therapy, whatever feels right for you.
Taking the First Step
Reaching out is often the hardest part of all this, so if you've read this far, that already says something. Well done. I'm a fully insured, registered member of the BACP and UKCP, and I keep my own practice grounded through regular clinical supervision and ongoing learning.
If you'd like to find out whether we might be a good fit, please don't hesitate to email or call. There's no pressure at all, just a short, gentle conversation to see how it feels. And once you've taken that first step, I'll be right alongside you for the rest of the journey.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
