About me

Starting counselling might feel like a big step, but really, it’s just a conversation — one between you and me. There’s no pressure to have the right words or to know exactly what to say. It’s simply about starting where you are, and we’ll go from there together.

Counselling can help with all kinds of things — from small worries like feeling overwhelmed at work or struggling with sleep, to bigger issues like anxiety, relationship problems, or feeling stuck in life. No concern is too small or too big; if it’s on your mind, it matters.

I am a compassionate pluralistic counsellor who believes in the healing power of listening, empathy, and meaningful conversation. My approach is flexible and collaborative, drawing on a range of therapeutic methods, such as person-centred, CBT, and psychodynamic approaches, tailored to each individual’s needs. No two people are the same, and I believe therapy should reflect that uniqueness.

My Journey into Counselling
My path into counselling was shaped by my personal experiences, particularly a long and difficult fertility journey. During that time, I often struggled to share my feelings with friends and family, fearing judgment or being seen differently. I longed for a safe, compassionate space where I could unburden myself and truly be heard. That need became the driving force behind my decision to train as a counsellor and create such spaces for others.

Professional Background
Before counselling, I worked as a nurse, midwife and health visitor, supporting health , family and life journeys.

I have experience working with survivors of trauma and violence.  I have also worked with bereavement and also relationship breakdown.

Later, I became a senior manager in a large organisation, where I gained insight into workplace stress, burden of performance, the complexity of relationships, the strive to succeed and move forwards, the pressures of balancing home and work life, and the barriers many face in expressing emotional struggles in a work environment. These varied professional experiences now allow me to connect deeply with clients navigating both personal and professional pressures.

Who I Work With
Adults, Children & Young People: Offering age-appropriate support through life’s challenges.

Individuals seeking support related to families & relationships: Helping improve communication, manage conflict, and navigate transitions. Manage feelings around relationship breakdown.

Chronic Illness: Providing empathetic support for individuals and families living with long-term conditions.

Navigating the experience of Neurodivergence: Tailoring communication and support to each individual’s needs.

Fertility , Pregnancy, Postnatal and family life: Combining personal and professional experience to support those facing fertility struggles and pregnancy-related challenges.

Workplace Issues: Supporting those balancing corporate life, stress, and wellbeing.

My Therapeutic Approach
I see therapy as a partnership. Together, we co-create a path shaped by your story, values, and goals. I work in a pluralistic and flexible way, combining different therapeutic models to find what feels right for you. With collaboration, respect, and compassion at the core, my aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore freely, find clarity, and move forward in a way that feels authentic and empowering.
