About me

Hi, I'm Layla, a qualified Person-Centred counsellor. I have a particular passion for supporting adults who are struggling with self-worth, self-doubt, and feeling disconnected from themselves, helping them rebuild a kinder and more accepting relationship with who they are. I believe that every person has an innate worth and value, even when life's experiences have made it difficult to see.

There may be times when life feels overwhelming, leaving you feeling lost, anxious, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you find yourself caught in self-doubt, overthinking, or questioning whether you are good enough, even when things on the outside appear fine.

You may have spent a long time putting others first, trying to cope, or feeling the pressure to keep going, while your own needs have been pushed aside.

I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can slow things down and talk about whatever feels most important to you. There is no pressure to be a certain way or to have all the answers. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you understand yourself more deeply and supporting you as you find your own way forward.

The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I want you to feel heard, respected and accepted for who you are, so that therapy becomes a place where you can be yourself without fear of judgement.

I have experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ clients, and I value creating a space that feels genuine, down-to-earth and inclusive.

Over time, counselling can help you gain greater self-understanding, build self-compassion, develop healthier boundaries, and create a kinder relationship with yourself. My hope is that you feel more connected to who you are, clearer about what you need, and more able to recognise your own worth.

If something in my profile resonates with you, I'd be pleased to hear from you. You don't have to face things on your own.
