About me

Hi, I’m Lauren – Counsellor at Thinking out Loud. I offer online and face to face counselling that’s relaxed, real, and tailored to you. No jargon, no pressure - Just time set aside for you to talk about whatever’s on your mind. Whether things feel overwhelming or you’re just not feeling quite yourself, this is a place to pause, take a breath, and be heard.

What to expect:
Working with me often feels like chatting with someone who really gets it -  more like a cuppa than a clinical session. I bring a calm, down-to-earth approach, and I’ll always adapt the way I work to suit your pace and preferences. Some people come to get things off their chest, others are looking to better understand themselves or tools to navigate life’s challenges. However you show up, we start from there.

A bit about me:
This work means so much to me, and I set up Thinking out Loud after a career change. It came from a deep interest in people and a real appreciation for how much we all carry. I’ve worked with adults and young people across a range of issues, including bereavement, anxiety, stress, low mood, confidence, life changes, and relationship challenges.

Clients often tell me they feel at ease talking to me which I think comes from knowing how tough it can be to open up. I’ve faced my own fair share of pressure and feeling like I had to keep it all together, so I know how valuable it is to have somewhere you don’t have to. Nothing is too shameful to discuss, and you don't have to perform or over explain.

Thinking about getting started?
I know that reaching out isn’t always easy, but if you’re ready to talk, I’m here to listen. You’re welcome to get in touch for a free 15-minute chat - no obligation, just a chance to see if it feels like a good fit.
