About me

Life can feel overwhelming. You don't have to navigate it alone.

At Three Rivers Counselling, I offer an honest, grounded space where you can bring the parts of yourself you've been carrying quietly — the grief that hasn't shifted, the anxiety that won't settle, the relationship patterns that keep repeating, or the sense that something in your life just isn't working anymore.

I'm an integrative humanistic counsellor, drawing on person-centred, Gestalt and existential approaches. In practice, that means I don't believe there's a single formula for healing. Instead, I work with you — your story, your pace, your way of making sense of the world — using whichever blend of approaches best fits what you're bringing to the room. Whether that's exploring how past experiences shape the present, tuning into what your body and emotions are telling you, or sitting with the bigger questions about who you are and what you want from life.

I work with adults facing all kinds of challenges: loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, and those significant life moments where the ground shifts beneath you. No jargon, no judgement — just real, human conversation that goes at your pace.

If you're ready to take that first step — or even just curious whether counselling might help — I'd love to hear from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified counsellor holding a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Over the last three years, I have gained valuable experience working with a range of charitable organisations across South West Wales, including Llamau, Mind, and Pembrokeshire Counselling Services. This work has allowed me to support a diverse range of clients through a variety of challenges, and I bring that same commitment, compassion, and professionalism to every therapeutic relationship.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

In my practice, these humanistic approaches work together to create a space where:

  • You are seen and heard without judgment.
  • You can explore both past and present experiences safely.
  • You are supported to discover your own direction, meaning, and potential.

Humanistic counselling is less about “fixing” and more about facilitating growth, helping you reconnect with who you truly are and how you wish to live.
