About me

Do you ever feel stuck in your own head, overthinking conversations, worrying about things you can’t control, or wondering why you seem to care so much when others appear to let things go?

Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, feeling lost, lacking confidence, or finding yourself caught in the same patterns again and again. Perhaps life looks okay from the outside, but inside you’re exhausted from trying to hold everything together.

Whatever has brought you here, you don’t need to have everything figured out before starting counselling.

One thing I hear from clients time and time again is that they’re surprised by how quickly they feel able to open up. Many come to their first session worried they won’t know what to say, only to find themselves talking about things they’ve never shared before. Being heard, understood and accepted can be a powerful experience.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role isn’t to tell you what to do or try to fix you. Instead, I offer a supportive space where we can explore what’s happening for you, make sense of your experiences, and understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, easy to talk to and down-to-earth. Alongside empathy and understanding, I also bring honest reflection and gentle challenge. I enjoy helping people look at things from a different perspective and often notice patterns that may have gone unnoticed. Those moments where something suddenly clicks into place can be incredibly powerful.

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, overthinking, low self-esteem, feeling lost, relationship difficulties, life transitions and depression. Whether you’re looking to understand yourself better, improve your relationships, build confidence or simply have a space that’s entirely your own, counselling can help.

When I had counselling myself in my early twenties, I didn’t really know what to expect. It turned out to be one of the most valuable experiences of my life. Having someone unbiased to listen, understand and gently challenge my thinking helped me see things differently. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about offering that same space to others.

Starting counselling can feel daunting, but you don’t need to know exactly where to begin. We can work that out together.

Further information

Many of the people I work with arrive feeling overwhelmed by their thoughts. They tell themselves they’re overreacting, overthinking or should just be able to cope better. Often they’ve spent years putting everyone else first while ignoring their own needs.

My approach is relaxed and conversational. You won’t be expected to arrive with a perfectly clear explanation of what’s wrong. Some sessions begin with “I don’t even know where to start,” and that’s absolutely okay.

I believe meaningful change often starts with understanding yourself differently. Together we can explore what’s underneath the anxiety, self-doubt or feeling of being stuck, helping you develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion and confidence in yourself.
