About me
Hello. I am a warm and experienced therapist who will listen to your concerns with sensitivity and compassion. I offer a calm, supportive environment where you can freely express and 'unburden' yourself without fear of judgement. Somewhere you will feel truly 'heard'.
I work relationally, which means I believe that the ability to build a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with you will be the foundation of our work together.
We are all unique individuals, so I will aim to understand as fully as possible your way of seeing, experiencing and being in the world. My integrative training means I can draw on a number of therapeutic approaches and adapt according to your particular needs.
Counselling gives you the opportunity to explore and process your thoughts, experiences and feelings, enabling a deeper understanding of yourself, healing of wounds and greater emotional freedom.
Do you struggle to accept and value yourself? Are you living your life to please others and struggling to set healthy boundaries? Are self-limiting beliefs and behaviours keeping you stuck? Do you find yourself drawn to situations, behaviours or relationships that are unfulfilling or even harmful to you?
Discovering what these patterns are rooted in (often our childhood experiences) can be the first step to enabling positive change and healthier choices.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BACP accredited Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling as well as an honours degree in Related Arts.
I have 7 years experience working with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma and abuse - both within various organisations as well as my own private practice.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
