About me

Are you feeling stuck in cycles of self-criticism and / or low self-worth?  Are negative thoughts or anxiety impacting your every day life?  Do you have anxiety around food, body image and / or relationships? Are you stressed out, feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from the world?  Let me help....

I am a person-centred counsellor offering online counselling sessions across the UK and face-to-face therapy in Lincoln. I provide a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly, feel heard, and explore whatever may be troubling you at your own pace.

I work with adults and teenagers experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, and feelings of overwhelm
  • Depression, low mood, stress, and emotional exhaustion
  • Eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image difficulties
  • Life transitions, career uncertainty, and mid-life changes
  • Parenting, family, and relationship challenges
  • Neurodiversity, emotional regulation, and executive functioning difficulties, including support for ADHD and Autism

Perhaps you have a clear goal in mind for us to work on, or perhaps you aren't sure,  whatever has brought you here — anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, low self-worth, burnout, or a sense of feeling stuck — we can work together to understand your experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable.

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to tell you what to think or do, but to support you with empathy, honesty, and curiosity as you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

My aim is to help you better understand yourself, build self-awareness and confidence, and develop healthier ways of coping that support your overall wellbeing.

Although my core approach is person-centred, I work integratively, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches to suit your individual needs. This may involve exploring past experiences and patterns, developing emotional awareness, or using practical tools to support you in the present.   Rather than working from one rigid model, I believe therapy should adapt to the person — because no two people experience life in the same way.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
