About me
Hello, my name is Laura.
As a Psychologist, Counsellor and Coach, I offer a safe therapeutic space where you can discuss and explore the difficulties you are facing. I offer a range of holistic therapeutic interventions including psychotherapy and behaviour change modification towards positive wellbeing.
I work as a Pluralistic Practitioner, which means I draw upon different therapeutic methods and ideas to accommodate the preferences of the individual client. These approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, attachment based, person centred and Mindfulness practice.
The most important part of the work we do together is to encourage a ‘commitment to action’ ethos and develop lasting personal growth and change using goal setting and action plans, whilst identifying barriers towards change. I am able to work short term or can offer longer term support if needed.
I also have received additional training within Health Psychology to support the psychological impact of long term health conditions including autoimmune conditions.
I also offer supervision to counsellors and coaches (or any helping/caring professional including DSLs) enabling a protected safe space to reflect on professional practice, whilst supporting the personal wellbeing of the supervisee. Businesses can also take advantage of this service to support staff wellbeing and stress management.
As a BPS Chartered Coaching Psychologist I can also support individuals wishing to seek BPS Coaching Psychology Chartership. This includes offering supervision and guidance on achieving the skills to achieve this status.
In addition to my experience, I have completed the SDS Essentials Clinical Supervision course which allows me to be on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors.
