About me
Hi I'm Larissa,
I am a BACP (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Senior Accredited Counsellor. (MBACP Snr. Accred).
You may be experiencing a challenging stage in life or having difficulty within yourself. Whatever you might be going through, if you need some help with change, I would be pleased to hear from you.
Anxiety -If you are experiencing Anxiety, I would work with you to identify triggers/effects and thought associations to your Anxiety (using CBT methods) and then work together to explore some re-framing thoughts and develop Anxiety management strategies and formulate a plan for you to have and practice and then review in the sessions.
Depression - If you are experiencing Depression, low moods or low self esteem, I would explore with you the causal effects on you, the situations that lower your mood and we would work together to identify the 'problem areas' and explore helpful ways to work towards change to improve your mood.
Couples Therapy/ Relationship issues. -If you are experiencing relationship issues. Perhaps by an unexpected significant event/change in a relationship or your thoughts and feelings towards someone has changed gradually over a period of time. The Couples Therapy I offer, would provide you both with dedicated time and space to talk together and enable you both to identify feelings/thoughts and work through differing views in order to work towards a level of compromise and discuss ways to manoeuvre around 'obstacles'. The Couples Therapy would also explore strategies to help you both reconnect with each other.
If you are Neuro diverse and have a diagnosis such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia or ADD, counselling could be helpful to talk about how you are managing, the issues that you experience and/or difficulties for you, along with practical advice (tools) that could support you. (I have worked in an Education setting and have knowledge of 'reasonable adjustments' that may be of help to you).

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
