About me

Hello,

Are you feeling stressed, worried, hopeless, overwhelmed or struggling with anxiety, low mood, loneliness, loss, change, having difficulty with relationships currently or in the past? I can help.

As your psychotherapeutic counsellor, I have a deep understanding and appreciation for how we as human beings relate, navigate relationships, identity, difference, change, and face challenges throughout different life stages.  In offering you a warm, safe, confidential and compassionate space, you will have the opportunity to explore and make sense of your experiences and find a way to move forward and grow. My theoretical approach is Integrative Relational and that means I take a relational approach and I integrate a mixture of person centred, psychodynamic, gestalt and cognitive modalities to tailor a way of working with you that suits your needs and goals.

Being a British Chinese woman, parent and educator with background in art, design and early years education and child development, I value nature, learning, being mindful and having a compassionate mind. I believe in the benefits of facilitating mindful awareness, insight and resilience that can help one through life's challenges.  By working with me, you may discover these benefits for yourself. Working together, you'll find new perspectives and meaning from how you experience life, you'll be on a journey of personal growth and you will likely feel lighter without having to carry a heavy load on your own.

If you just want to talk to a professional about something that is happening for you to get another perspective in one session, or if you want to have ongoing sessions to focus on improving your current relationships, explore past relationships, or work on something that is difficult for you, please contact me via email or on 07305 934888 to request a free 15 minute telephone consultation or to book a session. Remember you don’t have to stay stuck or face things all on your own. Contact me to find out how I can be of help to you and discuss how we can work together.

Session fee £65

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
