About me
Intrusive thoughts? Nightmares? Flashbacks? Racing thoughts? Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or stuck? Book a free 20 minute consultation call today.
I am a Trauma-Focused Psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting Police, Firefighters and Ambulance personnel across the UK, helping them recover from complex trauma, PTSD and the emotional impact of working in high-pressure environments. I also specialise in providing structured therapeutic support for ADHD.
For me, human connection is at the heart of healing. When you feel safe, understood and accepted, meaningful change becomes possible.
I support clients experiencing complex and childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, emotional instability, dissociation, suicidal thoughts, addiction, phobias, nightmares, sleep difficulties, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing, borderline personality disorder, abuse, family dysfunction, impulsivity, guilt, hopelessness, and many other emotional and psychological challenges.
Alongside my private practice, I have worked with local councils and collaborated with university professors on research projects. I currently provide mentoring and coaching to university students, supporting their personal, academic and emotional wellbeing.
I also have extensive experience supporting Police, Firefighters and Ambulance personnel across the UK, providing both therapeutic interventions and mental health support for those experiencing trauma, psychological distress, or suicidal thoughts. This has given me valuable experience working with individuals in high-pressure environments, helping them navigate complex trauma, emotional challenges and recovery.
I believe we all have a natural capacity to heal. Together, we can explore and gently work through the barriers that may be holding you back. Many of my clients come to therapy after years of feeling stuck or disappointed by previous therapy experiences. My aim is to help you move from feeling stuck towards growth, healing and recovery by providing the right support, guidance and understanding. Taking the first step is often the hardest, but you don't have to do it alone. I look forward to supporting you on your journey towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Level 7 qualified Psychotherapist, a registered member of the BACP and NCPS, with training in CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, Humanistic, Solution-Focused and Trauma-Focused Therapy. As an integrative therapist, I tailor every session to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
