About me

Welcome

If you’re struggling with anxiety or low mood, or finding it difficult to navigate life’s challenges, you’ve already taken an important first step by being here.

I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can begin to gently explore your thoughts and feelings, at your own pace. Whether you are experiencing stress, panic, emotional pain, or going through a life transition, you are not alone.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to make sense of what you’re going through. You may feel caught between cultures, expectations, or ways of being, or find that parts of your experience maintain unseen or difficult to share.

Whatever you are carrying: you are welcome here.

You don’t have to have the right words or everything figured out—just a willingness to begin.

About me

My approach is humanistic. I confide in the know, that we all hold an innate capacity for growth and healing. I’m not here to “fix” you, because in you ,there is nothing to be fixed.  I am here to support you in whatever is needed for you to coming into a deeper understanding of yourself—I bring my natural compassion, my curiosity, and care.

I offer a warm and supportive space where you’ll be heard, without any judgment or pressure, and where all parts of your experience are welcome.

Together, we can gently explore:

* Anything that feels present for you: emotionally, mentally, and physically

* Feelings or patterns that may be difficult to understand or put into words

* The connection between your thoughts, emotions, and body

* Your sense of identity, culture, and belonging

As your support, I will move at your pace. There is no need to revisit past experiences you don’t wish to revisit. I can stay with you, with whatever is here in the present moment—what feels most important or alive for you now.

Parts of your past may or may not surface. As you sense they are relevant, we can approach them together, with lots of space and compassion—and only when you feel you wish to do so.

My training with dr. Gabor Maté on Compassionate Inquiry, deepened my understanding of emotional patterns, trauma, and the connection between mind and body.

At the heart of this approach is a much more realistic understanding of trauma, stating that “Trauma is not what happens to you, but what happens inside you, as a result of what happened to you.”

I find truth and hope in this perspective, as it gently shifts the focus from (self)blame, and towards understanding our inner experience with honour and curiosity.

Since April 2023, I joined Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre, and have been supporting clients from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

This work is very important to me. Being a migrant myself, I am deeply aware of how culture, identity, and a sense of belonging, shape our emotional world.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
