About us
Are you feeling trapped in patterns of behaviour that made sense in the past but hold you back now? Perhaps you're constantly reliving traumatic experiences in your mind or body, or feeling shame, self-criticism, anger or anxiety that you can't seem to change. Together we'll notice the feelings, beliefs, sensations and memories that show up for you in each moment, and find ways you can respond to these feelings that leave you feeling calm, self-compassionate and more resolved. If talking hasn't changed the difficulties you're experiencing, or your body feels stuck in past experiences, this way of working might be a good fit for you.
In our sessions, you might want to explore the impact of traumas you've experienced; your experiences around identity, work, sex, food, neurodivergence, parenting, health, or money; what it means to you to feel fulfilled, safe, or cared for; your interactions with important people in your life; ethical dilemmas you have; or your worries, uncertainties or hopes for the future.
I think of therapy as a space for you to feel heard, make sense of your past experiences, and build self-compassion, self-knowledge, and the skills needed to live in greater alignment with your needs and desires.
I’m queer and use they/them pronouns. I have ADHD and I'm particularly informed about LGBTQ issues, A(u)DHD and autism. I charge £60 for a 50 minute session and offer a reduced fee of £30 for the first session.
I usually reply to enquiries within 24 hours. Please check your spam folder for a response after reaching out and leave a phone number if possible so I can let you know I've replied.

My core training covered a range of modalities. I trained for several years on psychodynamic, humanistic and integrative trainings before completing my training on a gestalt course.
Before and during my training I attended about 7 years of my own therapy, including integrative, existential, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, gestalt and person-centred therapy.
I attend supervision, typically once a week. I read widely, and attend additional trainings and talks. You can see some of the things I’m currently reading and listening to at the end of this webpage.
Gestalt therapy
Gestalt emphasises what’s happening in the present moment, offering an invitation to be creative and curious as we find out how things usually are for you, and the possibilities of how they could be.
For example, if you sometimes struggle to be as assertive as you’d like, we could experiment with what it’s like for you to be assertive with me. If you hold anger towards someone that’s never been expressed, we can explore what it’s like to give a voice to that anger in our session.
Internal Family Systems
If you've ever noticed you sometimes have conflicting desires – or you notice you have sides to your personality like a people-pleaser, inner critic, high-achiever or inner child – you've already noticed that your mind is made up of different parts. You might also have noticed how each part comes along with different thoughts, bodily sensations, memories, concerns and goals, and that different situations will bring different parts to the front of your personality.
IFS sees these parts of you as forming an inner family who all have good intentions. At the core of IFS is the idea that when we honour, listen to and love each part of us, we can help them become more harmonious members of our inner system.
As we get to know and build compassionate relationships with different parts of ourselves, we can help them adjust their strategies for looking after us to better fit our present day circumstances; let go of pain and inaccurate beliefs they carry; and feel appreciated and supported within our inner system.
Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
