About me
Hi, I’m Kirsty.
I’m a registered therapeutic counsellor offering a calm, welcoming space where you can feel heard and supported.
Perhaps you feel stuck, as though something is holding you back and you’re missing out on life or opportunities. Maybe you’re exhausted from doubting yourself, constantly seeking reassurance from others, or feeling like you never quite find the answers you need.
You may find yourself going round in circles, repeating familiar patterns in relationships or friendships without understanding why. Or perhaps you’re struggling to make sense of how you feel and can’t quite find the words to explain it.
Whatever brings you to counselling, you don’t need to have everything figured out before you arrive.
My clients value having a space where they can bring their fears, regrets, anger, sadness, uncertainty, messiness, and everything in between, and know they will be met without judgement. You can arrive exactly as you are, in whatever mood or moment you find yourself in.
Together, we can gently explore your experiences, understand the patterns that may be affecting you, and make sense of your world at a pace that feels right for you.
I’m trained in a range of counselling approaches, but I don’t believe that therapy should be one-size-fits-all. I will work collaboratively with you, adapting my approach to what feels most helpful for you. At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship - creating a safe and trusting connection where you feel able to be yourself.
I have experience supporting people with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, domestic and emotional abuse, relationship difficulties, life changes, processing a recent autism or ADHD diagnosis, disordered eating and trauma.
You don’t have to know exactly where to start. We can start wherever you are.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
