About me
My name is Kirstie (she/her) and I am a BACP accredited psychotherapist. I have trained in the psychodynamic modality, but draw on humanist and relational therapeutic practices to support my work. My aim is to offer a safe and confidential space where we can explore whatever you feel you need support with.
I hope to provide a calm and non-judgemental environment, so that you feel able to express feelings and share memories and experiences in a therapeutic setting. My experience has shown me that when we develop greater self-awareness, and work to accept and appreciate ourselves, we are more likely to feel empowered to make decisions that feel right to us.
Living in a big city like London has its own stresses, which is why I offer the opportunity to work in the outdoors with sessions in my local park and/or on my allotment.
If you have any questions about whether therapy could help you, please feel free to call and email me.
Training, qualifications & experience
I began my training as a therapist working in schools and colleges and qualified as a psychodynamic psychotherapist specialising in working with children and adolescents. Alongside my practice, I work part-time in a Further Education college, supporting adults and young people with counselling and mental health advice.
I have experience of working with people who have experienced depression, anxiety, grief and loss, suicidal thoughts and self harm, trauma, abuse, domestic violence and psychosis. I have a specialist interest in sexual and gender identity.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
