About me
You may be considering therapy for many reasons - because you're feeling distressed, anxious, depressed, stressed, confused, stuck or alone. You may have relationship, family or work issues. Some people have long term mental health issues and others are experiencing a trauma or crisis.
Recently, clients have sought help for:
Overwhelm - Repetitive and intrusive thoughts, confusion, anxiety, spiralling emotions, feeling they can no longer cope with life
Anxiety - Especially about work, health and relationships
Low self-esteem - Low confidence, self-doubt, harsh inner critic, feeling inadequate and unlovable, challenges in social situations
Stress - Bullying, discrimination, difficult relationships with managers and peers, lack of confidence or burnout
Relationship issues - Obsessive thoughts, attachment issues, navigating conflict and relationship breakdown with partners, family and friends
Trauma - Both from childhood (e.g. emotionally-immature parents, Complex PTSD) and as an adult (e.g. from abusive or Narcissistic relationships)
Illness - Disabilities, diagnosis of physical illness such as Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) or Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and neurodiversity challenges such as ADHD or emotional dysregulation
I am an integrative therapist - drawing on a variety of approaches (Person-Centred, Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) etc) - depending on the needs of my clients. I'm keen on psychoeducation - helping clients understand what is happening and giving them more control.
Both my short and long term clients report feeling calmer and more focused after therapy and most achieve significant change in how they feel, think and behave.
I spent decades running my own business in professional services and have worked with executives, lawyers, accountants and surveyors as a qualified coach as well. My therapy clients are from all walks of life - the creative arts, business, finance, students and not-for-profit - find the combination of warmth, support and focused therapy with coaching both challenging and helpful.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
