About me

Currently offering Face to Face & Online therapy

Anxiety, Depression, StressLoss , Low Self-esteem , Trauma , Family troubles other Mental health  issues can affect us all at any time in our lives. Having the opportunity to talk in a calm, confidential and safe space with a non-judgemental counsellor could help bring about the change that you need.

At Findingyou counselling services I provide space and time for you to talk about the things that are important to you in a supportive environment where you can be yourself. Our relationship is KEY and will be built on honesty, empathy and trust. This will allow you to explore your feelings and help you to take steps in moving forward. I am a trauma informed therapist and have significant experience in working with clients who want to talk and work through traumatic experiences.

Your mental health matters and at FindingYou you are given the time, space and security to let you explore what you choose to. Recognising that it is not always easy to open up about deeply personal issues, we focus on building a good relationship between us which allows you to feel at ease. Having the space to be honest, vulnerable and free to talk means you get to work through what is on your mind without judgement.

In the initial session, we will meet and discuss what you would like to focus on and determine how we feel we could best work together.  Although weekly sessions at a regular time are ideal and often the most beneficial, we are able to monitor this and adjust as we go. For some 'meeting' online works better with their other commitments and so I offer online appointments too for those who feel this may be better suited to them.

Sessions last for 55 minutes. Evening appointments are available and I try to be as flexible as possible to ensure I meet your needs. Similarly, I am able to offer both short term and long term work.

If you are ready to invest in yourself and would like to make an appointment or have any questions then please do contact me on:

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
