About me

Are you struggling, experiencing difficulties, feeling down or going through a life changing event? I am a qualified counsellor, working with adults, providing a safe space to explore these feelings. I am committed to making a difference to my client’s lives and offer a warm, non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential counselling service based in Heaton Moor.

I like to a build strong and secure relationship with my client, one based on trust, where you are fully free to be yourself and feel safe to discuss any difficulties you are facing. My aim is to support you whilst we explore what’s happening, gain insight as to why, and by working together, help you overcome these issues and bring positive change.  Whatever it is, counselling can help with these feelings in a warm and supportive environment where you are seen and heard in confidence and without judgement.

Clients of all ages and from all backgrounds come to therapy for many different reasons. I feel privileged to have supported clients with many issues, including: depression, low self-esteem, grief, shame, stress, anxiety, family and relationship issues, negative thoughts, bereavement and abuse. 

I offer a free initial 20 minute phone call where you can ask any questions you may have and to ensure we are a good fit so that you feel comfortable moving forward. I offer face to face, video and phone sessions – evening appointments are also available.

I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework. As a qualified integrative counsellor I draw on a combination of Person Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA) and work with you to find the best approach for you.

I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework, I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
