About me
Taking the first step to making a change to your life can be scary, but counselling will give you the support you need to start you on this journey. I work as an integrative therapist, using many approaches, which allow me to tailor support to your needs.
Providing you with a safe, trusting space, you can begin to explore the areas of your life that you are struggling to navigate, with the support you need to feel empowered again.
Working together, we can explore the issues that have led you to seek counselling. My job is not to give you advice, but to help find the answers you need, by discovering why things have become challenging and how best to overcome them, empowering yourself and effectively becoming your own therapist. You are already the expert of yourself, but sometimes in life we all need a bit of support to find our way.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience of working with children, young people and adults from many backgrounds and cultures, with a wide variety of issues. These range from grief, abuse and anxiety to depression, self-esteem, ADHD and eating disorders.
Whilst working in a secondary school for 4 years, I gained a deep understanding of how experiences can shape young people and their families. Addressing current and past issues in a safe, calm environment can help you to rediscover your strength and feel more like you again, gaining tools to help you navigate future challenges.
In Practice for 5 Years - currently offering in-person and online sessions.
Finding the right therapist is essential, which is why I offer a free 15 minute consultation. That way you are under no obligation. If you decide that we make a good match, I offer sessions on most days and times, at a competitive price.
