About me

I am an Integrative Therapist offering Arts Psychotherapy and Counselling which means I am able to draw on a range of different psychotherapeutic theories, models and techniques. This enables me to adapt my therapeutic style to meet your needs. I strongly believe each of us are individual, that "not one size fits all", the uniqueness of each person and experience remains precious.

Sometimes there are just no words enough to express how you are feeling, or words can get in the way. By using the arts in therapy, this can offer an expansive way to communicate.

Central to my work is the relationship between client and therapist. I aim to provide a safe, confidential space with warmth, acceptance, and respect. A supportive place where you can be truly heard.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Masters Degree in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in the Therapeutic Arts. I am trained in counselling skills using creative arts. I have a background in Psychology with a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Social Psychology.

I have worked in several different settings with adults (18 years plus), including a University Student Listening Service; West Kent Mind, NHS and Private Practice. I work with: Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem, Anger, Early Relational Trauma, Sexual Abuse, Bereavement, and Relational Issues. Primarily, I work face to face with therapy spaces in Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC): registration number is AS017792. I am a registered member of the British Association for Art Therapists (BAAT) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am fully insured and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
