About me

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to turn? You're not alone and you don't have to face it by yourself.

I’m Kendal, an empathic and compassionate counsellor dedicated to helping you make sense of life’s challenges. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, identity, relationship or family issues, a health diagnosis, past hurts, grief, or simply feeling a bit lost, I offer a warm, confidential space where you can feel safe, heard, and understood.

What You Can Expect
You might be carrying a lot right now, and have been for some time. This is your space to talk freely without judgment or pressure. I’ll work alongside you at your own pace, to help you reflect, explore what’s going on beneath the surface, build insight, and move toward a place of clarity, self-acceptance, and change.

As an integrative counsellor, my approach is tailored to your unique needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic methods including person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT, from a trauma-informed perspective. I work in a respectful, collaborative and empowering way and believe that the therapeutic relationship itself, built on trust and empathy, is the key to healing.

You might be wondering:
“Will this really help?”
Many people feel unsure at first. That's completely normal. Therapy can be a powerful step towards understanding yourself more deeply and making lasting changes in your life.

“Is my problem ‘big enough’ to bring to therapy?”
If it's affecting your peace of mind, then it matters and it’s worth talking about.

Next Steps
Reaching out is often the hardest part but it's also the beginning of change. If you're ready to talk, or even just thinking about it, please do get in touch for an initial free 20 minute conversation. There's no obligation, just an opportunity to ask questions, talk about what you need and see how we might work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
