About me
I am currently full for in person appointments and am offering online only for now.
Welcome to my page. I offer a calm, compassionate and confidential space for you to feel truly heard and less alone and isolated with whatever it is that is causing you distress, in the hope of being able to help alleviate and demystify the issues you are facing.
I am passionate about holding space for clients to grow and work through challenging feelings, overwhelm, painful life experiences, difficult relationship experiences, memories and events and help to make some sense of them. I work sensitively to support you to courageously live your life fully and feel able to be your authentic self.
Through this process clients often describe feeling a greater sense of self-understanding and understanding of events that have happened to them, a lightness, a greater ability to cope, direct their own life path, able to ground themselves, have a greater sense of self-confidence, self-esteem, and able to have healthier relationship dynamics with family, partners, friends, colleagues.
I offer a free 20 minute phone or video call conversation to see if we would be a good fit to work together and answer any questions you might have about the counselling process. This is with no obligation to begin sessions with me, but get an idea of who I am and how I work to see if you would like to begin counselling with me.
I work with clients short term (6 - 12 weeks), medium term (12 - 24 weeks), and longer term (24+ weeks) can also be discussed. I offer weekly and fortnightly appointments on Mondays, Tuesday evenings, and Fridays.
“It is not what is wrong with you, but what has happened to you. We each have a unique response to the myriad of situations life throws at us. Trauma does not have to mean capital T Trauma, trauma can also look like not being listened to, not being understood, not feeling connected, and consistently feeling invalidated.”

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
