About me

I am a qualified counsellor based in Horsham, specialising in supporting teenagers, young adults and parents navigating areas such as anxiety, school pressure, ADHD traits, managing relationships, low mood and family challenges. At Your Listening Space, I offer a calm, compassionate and non-judgemental environment where young people can explore what’s going on for them at their own pace - and feel genuinely heard and understood.

Adolescence can be an intense and confusing time, I work alongside young people to help make sense of their emotions, build confidence, develop emotional regulation skills and feel more equipped to manage everyday pressures - whether that's exams, friendships, identity or feelings of overwhelm.

I have particular experience supporting teenagers who experience ADHD traits, emotional intensity or difficulties with focus and organisation. Together, we explore strengths as well as challenges, creating strategies that feel realistic and supportive rather than overwhelming.

I also offer sessions for parents and carers who may feel unsure how best to support their young person. These sessions provide space to reflect, understand patterns within the family dynamic and consider practical, compassionate ways forward. Sometimes even small shifts in understanding can make a significant difference at home.

I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring safe, confidential and ethical practice and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

If you're wondering whether counselling might help, I welcome you to get in touch for an initial conversation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP, with a focus on counselling adolescents and young adults. I have experience working within a secondary school setting, supporting a range of emotional and developmental challenges.

Alongside my counselling work, I bring a strong professional background in people-focused roles, which gives me a grounded understanding of family dynamics, communication patterns and the pressures young people and their parents often face.

I engage in regular supervision and continuing professional development to ensure safe, ethical and reflective practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
