About me

Counselling for Adults, Children and Young People
I offer compassionate online and in-person counselling in Edinburgh and across the UK for adults, children and young people, students, and seniors. Whether you’re facing a current difficulty, working through long-term challenges, or seeking personal growth, I provide a safe, supportive space to explore what matters most to you.

My Approach
My practice is grounded in person-centred therapy, where empathy, respect, and genuine connection are central. I also draw on psychodynamic insights to help uncover how your past experiences may be influencing your present, gently exploring patterns that can feel hard to shift.

Starting therapy is a courageous step toward change, self-awareness, and healing. We’ll work together at your own pace to understand your experiences and help you build the life and sense of self you want - with greater confidence, clarity, and inner peace.

About Me
Having been on both sides of the therapy relationship, I understand the importance of feeling seen, heard, and accepted. My aim is to walk alongside you with care and curiosity, supporting you as you move toward deeper understanding and resilience.

I am a BACP-registered counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling. I’m committed to working ethically and continue to develop my practice through ongoing training and reflection.

Sessions and Getting Started
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held weekly, either online or in-person at my practice in Edinburgh. I offer an initial consultation so we can discuss what brings you to therapy and get a sense of how we might work together.

If you’re considering counselling, I’d be happy to answer any questions or arrange an introductory call. Please feel free to get in touch.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
