Integrative Counsellor • Clinical Supervisor • Facilitator • Trainer

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

My name is Trina, and I am an integrative counsellor, clinical supervisor, facilitator, and trainer with over 30 years’ experience supporting Adults, Children and Young People. As an Accredited Member of the BACP, I am fully committed to working within the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that every individual I work with is treated with dignity, respect, and equality.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. My approach is warm, open, and grounded in real-life experience. I offer a compassionate, confidential, and non‑judgemental space where you can explore whatever challenges you may be facing at your own pace.

Whether you are navigating a difficult life event, seeking greater self‑understanding, or looking for ongoing emotional support, I am here to walk alongside you. My aim is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered as we work together toward your wellbeing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor with a Degree in Counselling BA(Hons), a Diploma in Counselling, and a Diploma in Clinical Supervision. Over the course of my career, I have developed a rich and varied practice supporting children, young people, adults, families, and professionals across multiple settings.

I currently work as a Deputy Regional Clinical Lead for a national children’s charity, where I provide clinical oversight, supervision, and support to practitioners delivering therapeutic services. My background also includes over 10 years of experience working with people experiencing homelessness, offering trauma‑informed, person‑centred support during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

My therapeutic work spans a range of environments, including education settings, where I have delivered therapy to children and young people, and worked closely with parents—including teen parents—to strengthen relationships and support emotional wellbeing. I have also provided one‑to‑one therapy for both adults and children, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Alongside direct therapeutic work, I have extensive experience in training and professional development, having delivered training to local authority staff, safeguarding teams, and other professionals. I provide professional supervision to a wide range of practitioners, including headteachers, safeguarding officers, trainees, and qualified counsellors. I also offer supervision of supervision, supporting supervisors to deepen their reflective practice and enhance their clinical confidence.

Creativity is an important part of my work. I enjoy using creative and flexible approaches to help clients and supervisees explore their experiences in ways that feel safe, accessible, and meaningful.

I am committed to offering a warm, grounded, and collaborative therapeutic space where people feel heard, understood, and supported to grow.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
