About me
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and a Systemic practitioner registered with the Health Care Professional Council with extensive experience in the NHS, charity and private sectors. Over the years, I have worked with adults and couples (including parents) who have experienced a range of difficulties in relationships and individual including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, identity diffusion, attachment disorder, trauma and perinatal difficulties. I have worked across a wide range of settings including outpatient psychotherapy clinics and in therapeutic communities.
Training, qualifications & experience
My expertise includes supporting individuals with complex emotional needs and trauma both in the NSH and at the Anna Freud Centre. In the NHS, I worked primarily with adults with personality and relational difficulties. At the AF Centre, my work involved providing individual, group, and parent-child attachment-based therapy to parents with complex emotional needs and their children aged 0-5 years old with attachment difficulties.
Although I have been trained in different modalities, my way of understanding the complexity of the human psyche is through a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic framework. I believe that understanding the relationship between your early life experiences and current difficulties can give you a chance to learn a healthier way of coping with your struggles. This does not mean that the treatment has to be necessarily long term or that all we talk is the past. Rather, recognising how past experiences influence the present creates a space where change becomes possible. My aim is to provide a safe, personal and reflective space where you can talk about yourself and what troubles you.
To begin with, I offer a consultation, during which I try to get to know you and build a picture of your difficulties and propose the most appropriate intervention. We will then decide if I would be the right person to help with your problem. The experience of the consultation should give you an idea of how I work, what is expected of you and what you can expect of me. If I am not the right person, I will ensure that I connect you with someone who can help you.
I also offer supervision to clinicians from different backgrounds and offer consultations and psychotherapy in English and Italian.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
