About me

How Counselling can Help
Life events and personal circumstances can, from time to time, leave us struggling. Coping on our own can be difficult and sometimes we need a little extra support to help manage these hard times. I offer a non-judgemental safe space where you can talk freely to get through tough times and come out stronger at the other end. I will help you to explore your issues and find answers from within yourself. Our time together will allow you to thrive and feel empowered, leaving you more in control and optimistic about your future.

How I can Help
I offer 1-1 Counselling and Psychotherapy to adults (16+) where we will work together at your pace.  My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you find a way forward and heal from your personal experiences. With my support as a Psychotherapist with a background in Psychology, you can learn more about yourself and grow from your experiences by gaining a deeper understanding of how to live life to your full potential. I am fully qualified in Person-Centred & Experiential Counselling with experience working with clients from all walks of life and their personal difficulties.

I became a Psychotherapist because I love to help people become happier and help them find their way to a better place. For me, it is a very rewarding experience to accompany others on their mental health journey. If you think I could help you at this point in your life, I would love to hear from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
