About me
I'm Katie, an Integrative Therapist working with adults and young people. I'm trained in Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT approaches, and I work with adults who are living with the effects of adult and childhood trauma. I also have extensive experience supporting adults with ADHD.
As an Integrative Therapist, I tailor therapy to you and your individual needs, rather than expecting one approach to fit everyone. Whatever brings you to therapy, we'll work together to understand what's going on, make sense of your experiences, and explore a way forward.
When working with adults, my focus is on helping you understand the patterns that may be affecting your life, process difficult emotions, and begin to make sense of past experiences.
For clients with ADHD, I bring an understanding of the unique challenges that can come with living in a world that isn't always designed for the way your mind works. Alongside therapeutic support, we can also explore practical strategies that help you feel more confident, more regulated, and better able to work with your strengths.
I also work with children and young people aged 8–18. Young people come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. They may be struggling with friendships, school pressures, family changes, low self-esteem, difficult emotions, or experiences that feel hard to talk about. Sometimes they know exactly what's bothering them, and sometimes they don't. Part of the process is figuring things out together and helping them develop a better understanding of themselves and what they need.
I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. My aim is to build a genuine, collaborative relationship where you can be yourself, explore whatever is bringing you to therapy, and move towards a greater sense of understanding, healing and self-acceptance.
