About me
My work is rooted in helping people better know themselves and live life more on their own terms.
A calm, person-to-person connection will be our starting point. From there, we might make sense of difficult parts of your past, pressures in your day-to-day life, or what you want or need next.
We’ll go at your pace. I’ll be alongside you with curiosity and a real interest in understanding you and helping you understand yourself. Together, we can work towards stronger connections with yourself and others, greater self-acceptance or changes that feel right for you.
Much of my work is around identity, shame and belonging. I’m a queer-friendly therapist, and welcome people of all genders and sexualities, whether or not you want to explore identity together.
Some of the things I’ve worked with people around include:
- Discovering and accepting who they are, separate from who they think they should be and the expectations of others
- Becoming more compassionate towards themselves, especially parts they’ve hidden or felt ashamed of
- Understanding what they want, value and expect in friendships and relationships
- Making sense of things in new ways as they come to understand themselves better, perhaps around LGBTQIA+ identity, background or neurodivergence
- Working out what matters to them when they’ve been feeling stuck
- The lasting effects of difficult past experiences
- Grief, loss and things left unsaid
Please get in touch and we can see if we might be a good fit.
How I work:
I’m a relational, person-centred therapist. This means our connection and collaboration will be an important part of the work we do together. I’ll aim to help you feel safe, understood and able to speak openly. We’ll be led by your experiences and what matters to you, at a pace that feels right for you.
I’m trained in integrative counselling and psychotherapy, so I also draw on different therapeutic ideas and approaches depending on what you bring to our sessions. This might include looking at questions of identity, meaning and values from an existential perspective, or making sense of how earlier experiences may have shaped your feelings, expectations and relationship patterns.
How we’ll start:
If you like, we can begin with a free 20 minute video call. This lets you ask any questions and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit before you commit.
If you’d like to go ahead with me, our regular sessions will last 50 minutes.
Our first session will be about helping you feel as comfortable and informed as possible. I’ll go through what you can expect from me, including how I work with professional boundaries and confidentiality. You can ask any questions or share your first thoughts about what you’d like to get from therapy.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
