About me
Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. My name is Kate and I am a fully qualified person centred counsellor and a member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Life unfortunately can throw unexpected challenges our way from time to time. Sometimes it's difficult for us to navigate through these tricky times. I am here to provide you with a warm, safe, empathic and non judgemental space where we can work through these hurdles and unpack them together.
I am a person centred counsellor which means I offer a non directive approach, which requires my client to actively take the reins during our sessions together. My goal as your counsellor is to ensure that you feel fully understood and in return I will offer you the environment you need to reflect on your inner thoughts, emotions and perceptions. I believe your thoughts and feelings deserve the space and freedom to be explored and ackowledged, given the right conditions you can grow towards wellness again.
Often, talking to somone without that personal connection can feel extremely daunting and somewhat scary. Rest assured I will be beside you and will help you make sense of those unwanted thoughts and feelings. Whatever you are feeling past or present, you do not have to navigate this alone. Together we can step into your world and explore whatever changes you wish to make.
Depending on your preference I can offer you the following,
*Face to Face sessions which will be held at my private practice in Redditch
*Telephone sessions
*Online sessions
*Whatsapp video call
*Walk and talk therapy
I look forward to hearing from you
Kate
CLIENT FEEDBACK:
**I felt so safe and heard within our sessions together. I have always felt judged and rejected throughout my life. You offered me a safe place to explore my past experiences and felt so supported throughout my whole journey with you**
**I didn't know what boundaries were and the importance of self care until I started my journey with you. You listened so intently throughout every session and held that space for me. I am forever grateful to you**
**I am a better and more confident version of myself because of you! I don't seek that constant validation from family and friends anymore. You have taught me to love myself and I will miss you**
**My sessions with you have been life changing. My memories of my childhood consisted of sexual and physical abuse. I felt so vulnerable and disconnected from the world, I wanted to give up. I have sobbed, cried and been an emotional wreck. You offered me a safe place without judgement. I felt instantly connected to you and heard throughout every session. Counselling with you has changed my life**
**I cannot thank you enough, I have never felt understood but you simply 'get me' You allow me to open up and give me the patience when I struggle to verbalise my emotions. Life felt impossible since my diagnosis, but then I met you and it all seems possible again. I will miss you dearly**
