About me

Hello and welcome. I am a qualified Counselling Psychologist with a deep commitment to helping people navigate life's challenges. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental space where we can explore your experiences at your own pace.

I work with adults facing a range of issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I have a special interest in psychosexual therapy, supporting people with challenges related to intimacy, sexual functioning, compulsive sexual behaviours, desire or lack of communication around sex within your relationship.

However, there may be other aspects you would like to explore.

My therapeutic approach incorporates aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), depending on your needs.

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy either face-to-face from Banchory on a Monday evening or online.

Experience

I have extensive experience of working with mental health presentations including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorders and depression. I also have experience working with the LGBTQI+ community, more specifically body and/or gender dysphoria.

I have a special interest in working with psychosexual issues. People often are extremely anxious about seeking support for issues around intimacy and sex. Within our sessions, I aim to provide a safe and open space for us to explore these difficulties, often through increasing sexual knowledge, exploring potential barriers and communication skills and intimacy experiments.
