About me
Hi there, my name is Kat and I am a psychotherapist with an academic background in Psychology.
I am an integrative counsellor which means I can use a range of approaches in our therapeutic work. I mainly use person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, as well as ACT. I place a focus on establishing a safe and trusting relationship which becomes a foundation of the work. I work at the client's pace - you will be driving the therapeutic process and I will be in the passenger seat, supporting you. I believe that a different therapy should be constructed for each client depending on their unique needs.
I offer therapy in-person (Bruntsfield area) and online. I offer a free 30-minute phone call so you can tell me a bit about what brings you to counselling and what you would like to achieve. This benefits both of us - you can check if I am the person you would like to work with, and I can assess if I am able to support you.
I am looking forward to accompanying you on the journey and helping you achieve your therapeutic goals.
