About me

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor based in Huddersfield. I offer confidential face to face, telephone and online counselling for adults and young people.

I work with clients of all backgrounds with a range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem and relationship issues. I also have extensive training and experience working with childhood sexual abuse, sexual violence and domestic violence.

When dealing with major or distressing events in life, it is natural to feel alone at times, even if there are friends or family to talk to. Sometimes it helps to have a trained professional who can offer you the dedicated time and space to listen and work through your feelings.

To be heard and understood without judgement can be an empowering experience.

Starting counselling is a big step, it is important that you find a counsellor who is right for you. I have a warm, friendly, person-centred approach, integrated with Creative and Cognitive Behavioural interventions. This enables me to offer a service to meet for your individual needs.

I believe that when we are nurtured and encouraged, we all have the capacity to overcome the challenges in our lives. I aim to offer a calm, safe and supportive space while I accompany you on your healing journey.

It may be that you are going through a difficult time at the moment due to something that is occurring in the present or something that happened a long time ago. Together we can work through your issues, uncovering your thoughts and feelings and raising your self-awareness. I can support you in learning the tools you need to move forward and make positive changes, aspiring to come to a resolution and create a better quality of life.

If you feel I may be able to help you why not get in touch, you can email me with any questions or give me a call and we can have a quick informal chat.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
