When dealing with major or distressing events in life, it is natural to feel alone at times, even if there are friends or family to talk to. Sometimes it helps to have a trained professional who can offer you the dedicated time and space to listen and work through your feelings.
To be heard and understood without judgement can be an empowering experience.
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor based in Huddersfield. I offer confidential telephone and online counselling for adults and young people. Telephone and online counselling are a safe and accessible ways to access support. No need to think about time and cost to travel to your sessions, they can be done from the comfort of your own home. Being in familiar surroundings can help ease the anxiety you face when starting counselling and make it easier to open up about sensitive issues.
I work with clients of all backgrounds with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem and relationship issues. My specialism is working with childhood sexual abuse, sexual violence and domestic violence, an area I have worked in for over 5 years.
Starting counselling is a big step it is important that you find a counsellor who is right for you. I have a warm, friendly, person-centred approach, integrated with Cognitive Behavioural and Creative interventions. This enables me to offer a service to meet for your individual needs.
I believe that when we are nurtured and encouraged, we all have the capacity to overcome the challenges in our lives. I aim to offer a calm, safe and supportive space while I accompany you on your healing journey.
Can I help you to move forward to a more comfortable, peaceful life?

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
