About me

What I Can Help You With

You might have learned to keep things going on the outside, even when something hasn’t felt right on the inside. Maybe you've pushed away memories or minimised difficult experiences. Maybe you’ve kept yourself busy—looking after others, working hard, getting on with life.

But some things still stay with you. You might find it hard to trust people, set boundaries, or feel comfortable in your body. You might feel anxious, disconnected, or caught in the same relationship patterns again and again. You might not be sure whether what happened to you “counts,” but you know it’s still affecting you.

The way you feel matters, and you don’t have to face it by yourself.

I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist working in Glasgow and Online UK-Wide. I work mainly with women who have been through childhood abuse, neglect, or sexual violence. I offer a space where you can talk honestly, make sense of what’s happened, and figure out what you need now.

How I Work

I offer both short and long term therapy, depending on what you’re looking for. Some people come for a few sessions to focus on something specific. Others stay longer to work through things in more depth. There’s no fixed plan - we’ll work together to find a pace and focus that suits you.

My approach draws on different therapeutic ideas, but at heart it’s about building a real, respectful relationship where you feel safe enough to be yourself. We might talk about the past, or focus on what’s happening in your life now. There’s space to explore things like shame, identity, boundaries, trust, and how your experiences have shaped you.

  • Short- or long-term sessions
  • No pressure to talk about anything before you're ready
  • Flexible approach based on what matters to you

A Bit More About Me

I take a responsive approach - sometimes that means slowing down and staying with what’s there, and other times it means bringing in tools or techniques that might help. This could include mindfulness, relaxation techniques, somatic practices, psychoeducation, or parts work informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I don’t use a fixed method. I draw from a range of approaches—including person-centred, relational, somatic, and trauma-informed models—depending on what feels most helpful for you. My role is to support you in understanding your experiences, working with what comes up, and finding ways to move forward that make sense in your life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
