About me

I'm Karen McCann, a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the  British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Supporting you

Safety, respect and confidentiality are core values I hold. The goal is to help you grow from your struggles, understand yourself, your past and your relationships better, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

Depression, fear and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counselling and psychotherapy, we are able to work together to help you discover who you are, why you respond or behave the way you do, find motivation, perspective, and calm. Together we can make sense of your life and find better ways of being.

Somatic healing

I offer somatic healing sessions working with the body using massage, reiki, reflexology and sound healing techniques, as well as utilising crystals, chakra balancing and scents. These are also great for general relaxation.

Online, telephone or in-person services

One-to-one sessions are available in person, lasting for 60 minutes or online for 55-minutes. Be in the comfort of your own space, or visit me in Ipswich (IP2) whilst we explore your thoughts and feelings, past and future.

Why Karmc therapy?

Pronounced: karmic (car-mik).

A karmic cycle is a repetitious pattern of events, emotions or realisations that occur in your life. Here is the opportunity to master a life lesson, and until that lesson is mastered, we will continue to repeat the cycle. Are you ready to break the cycle?

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
