About me

CBT & Integrative Counsellor

Compassionate, trauma-informed therapy grounded in social care and psychotherapy experience, specialist domestic abuse support, and qualified clinical supervision expertise.

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve been managing things on your own for a long time. I offer a warm, accepting and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, feel heard, and begin to move forward.

My approach is gentle, collaborative and trauma-informed. We work at your pace, exploring what’s happening for you and finding practical ways to help you feel safer, stronger and more confident. There is no pressure or expectation - just space to be yourself and support to help you create meaningful change.

How I Can Help

I support people experiencing:

  • Domestic abuse and recovery
  • Anxiety and panic
  • Depression and low mood
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Low self-esteem and confidence
  • Stress and burnout
  • Identity concerns and life transitions

I have particular experience supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse, focusing on safety, empowerment, rebuilding self-worth and helping you regain a sense of control.

My Approach

I work in an integrative way, drawing primarily from:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - helping you understand patterns in thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and develop practical tools for change.

Integrative therapy - adapting different therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs.

I believe therapy should feel supportive, respectful and easy to engage with. You are the expert in your own experience - my role is to support and guide you.

Professional Experience

I bring 18 years’ experience working in social care, supporting individuals through complex life challenges and vulnerable circumstances. This background gives me a strong understanding of trauma, safeguarding and the wider factors that impact wellbeing.

I am a domestic abuse specialist and trained IDAA (Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate) and have been a manager within a domestic abuse court advocacy service for 10 years.

I have been working as a qualified therapist for 5 years, supporting clients with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

I am also a qualified counselling supervisor (2023) with 10 years’ experience providing clinical supervision within social care, supporting professionals working in complex and emotionally demanding roles.

Clinical Supervision

I offer clinical supervision for counsellors and professionals working within helping roles. My supervision approach is supportive, reflective and grounded in trauma-informed practice, providing a safe space to explore client work, professional development and wellbeing.

I work predominantly with adults.
