About me

Hi, I’m Kae. Whatever has brought you here, I’m really glad you’ve found your way.

You might be exhausted from holding everything together for too long. Something in a relationship may have shifted and you are trying to make sense of where you stand. Or you may have been quietly struggling for years with how you feel about yourself, your body, or your place in the world.

Whatever it is, you do not have to keep carrying it alone.

Here is what I often support people with

• Feeling stuck in relationships that feel hard to leave or hard to change

• Family dynamics that feel painful, complicated, or long overdue a change

• Anxiety that is exhausting and relentless, making it hard to enjoy your life or feel like yourself

• Burnout, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion

• A difficult or painful relationship with food or eating patterns

• Body image distress and feeling at war with yourself

• Shame that feels old, deep, and hard to shift

• Feeling disconnected from yourself even when life looks fine on the outside

• Breakups, affairs, or relational loss

• Feeling lost in relationships or unsure who you are within them

You do not need to have the right words or a clear starting point. We can begin exactly where you are.

A little about how I came to this work

I did not come to psychotherapy through a conventional route. Before training as a therapist, I worked in the fashion industry where people often spoke to me in ways they did not speak anywhere else. Pain about their bodies and appearance. The pressure to meet impossible standards. Shame carried for years in silence. Relationships that felt hard to leave. The fear of taking up space or being fully seen.

Later, I worked in a charity setting with some of the women I sat with who were holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, and disconnected on the inside. Over time, this shaped the way I work. Gently, relationally, and with attention to what is happening in the body as well as the mind.

My practice is women centred and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Relationships are often at the heart of the work I do, especially the ones that feel confusing, painful, or hard to step away from.

I am an integrative psychotherapist and somatic practitioner specialising in

• Relationships and attachment patterns

• Body image and body distress

• Disordered eating and food related anxiety

• Burnout and emotional exhaustion

• Anxiety, shame, and low mood

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
