I work with both adults and young people from a central and spacious room in Bath and also from my bright studio room in Bradford on Avon. My intention is to create a safe space to explore troublesome areas of your life in a highly supportive and sensitive way, where I can help you grow an increasing sense of feeling and being 'ok' in yourself.
I work in an integrative way and see my clients as unique individuals whose needs vary and I strive to meet those needs from my knowledge, understanding and intuition as to how best to work with them. This can involve using different models or ways of working as appropriate.
For instance, it can sometimes help to use psycho-educational tools to further understand feelings of anxiety and depression, or it could be that you want to explore the challenge of parenting or the death of someone close. We all experience significant life transitions such as children leaving home, the birth of a child, midlife and so on, and these can bring up deep feelings of loss and perhaps a crisis of identity and at these times, exploring this with a safe 'other' can be enormously growthful and reassuring.
Counselling can make a difference in our lives; being truly heard by another person who is accepting and empathic is a healing process in itself. Alongside this there is the opportunity to gain greater clarity and understanding of what has occurred to bring you to this point with the potential to make positive life changes.
Coupled with my therapeutic work, my background is also in the creative arts field and there are always art materials available for those who prefer to work in a visually expressive way.
Please refer to my website for more information.
There is no designated parking at my Bath practice but there is free on-street parking outside my studio in Bradford on Avon.

I charge £50 for a 50 minute session. The first session I charge at £25 in order for us to meet and to decide if we'd like to work together. There is absolutely no obligation to continue unless it feels right to do so. Please ask about concessions if you are not able to pay the full fee.
Walking and Talking
I am also interested in working with clients outside of the therapy room and using a walking and talking approach for those who feel more comfortable not sitting face to face but being in motion and in the open air.
An initial session would need to be held within the therapy space to establish the guidelines and boundaries of how this would work and we can take it forward from there.
Please ask about this should you wish to consider it and we can explore further what this would look like.
