About me
● Integrative psychotherapist and coach working with individuals and couples
● Specialist in expats, including humanitarian and development workers
As a dedicated, experienced therapist and coach, I can help you grow both as an individual and in your relationships. Find out more about my approach and specialisms, plus how to contact me.
Expat therapy
I specialise in working with internationally mobile individuals, couples and families, including expats and those in the humanitarian and development sectors. However, my practice is inclusive and I welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life.
As a ‘serial expat’ myself (having worked in the international humanitarian and development sector for 15 years), I understand the unique challenges faced by expatriate workers, humanitarian and development professionals and their families.
Resilience is required to take on the expat lifestyle. Therapy can help with a variety of challenges that arise, whether they are specific to expats or accelerated by this unique lived experience. I bring a deep empathy and practical understanding around the stressors of this lifestyle to our sessions.
Whether you’re an expat individual or are seeking support as a couple, no matter where you are in the world, I can help.
Couples therapy
- As a couple, do you want to break through old patterns and shape a more fulfilling future together?
- Is the expatriate life leaving one or both of you feeling like your career or personal goals are being sidelined?
- Is your relationship struggling with issues like infidelity, trauma, frequent fights, growing apart or addiction?
- Are you finding yourself questioning whether to separate or work on saving your relationship?
My passion is helping you navigate and strengthen your relationships. According to the longest scientific study on adult development by Harvard Medical School, good relationships – albeit not limited to couples’ relationships - are the single most important factor for physical health, mental well-being and longevity. Quality relationships significantly enhance our well-being, providing purpose and belonging.
Couples sessions can focus on any area you’d like to address in order to thrive in your relationship. It’s not just about conflict resolution. I can help you to build your dreams together, becoming more deeply connected as you achieve your relationship goals. This could include identifying common goals and priorities, meeting challenges together and striving for increased happiness and harmony.
My approach is grounded in the Gottman Method, the most research-backed method for working with couples to date. This method helps couples build thriving, lasting relationships through proven techniques and strategies.
Therapy for individuals
- Do you feel overwhelmed by the demands of family, work or life in general?
- Are you seeking to feel more comfortable in your new role as a parent or struggling with insecurity about your parenting skills?
- Do you feel isolated, struggling to find a healthy, lasting connection?
In our work together, we can look at whatever you need to explore. I’m experienced in a wide range of issues, including:
Anxiety & panic attacks/depression/trauma/abuse/loss & grief/identity/self-esteem and self-worth/self-harm/sexuality/stress/work-related issues/neurodiversity/finding a partner/relationships/decisions about having children/infertility/pregnancy and birth/(single) parenthood/parenting/balancing work and family life.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
