About me
I am a qualified Counsellor, Hypnotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, working predominantly online in my practice, although I may be able to accommodate face to face sessions if required. I deal with many issues including anxiety, phobias, bereavement, self-esteem/confidence work and trauma. In the past, I have worked as a secondary school counsellor, and now work with young people over 16, as well as adults at various stages of their lives. I also have extensive experience of working as a Senior Lecturer for a counselling organisation and now work with a local charity, providing counselling to their service users.
Many people are nervous when starting therapy – it can feel like a huge step. My role is to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible and I am happy to have an initial chat with you by phone or email before starting therapy. I work in an integrative way, using different therapeutic tools to help you to gain an understanding of the issues you have, helping you to move forward. From our initial conversation onwards, anything that we discuss is entirely confidential whether you choose to continue or not.
