About me
Walking Therapy, Phone & Zoom also available
Counselling / Psychotherapy and professional supervision
Many clients say talking whilst walking feels more natural and less intense than sitting indoors. It also has the added health benefits of movement & being outdoors. You are also welcome to bring well behaved dogs.
Sometimes we all need a safe place to talk simply because we are human and life can be tough. I work to support you to become happy and comfortable with who you are so that you can understand and manage your emotions to cope better with life.
I offer short and long term support with many issues including feeling sad, general anxiety and depression, the effects of past and recent traumas, phobias, panic attacks, PTSD, managing neurodiversity including ADHD, low self-esteem and many more.
About me and what types of counselling I offer
I am 53 with a family and love the outdoors and animals. I have previously worked in education and farming and so have a particularly good understanding of the pressures in these jobs. I offer counselling to adults, teenagers and children 11+ as well as supervision for other counsellors.
- walk and talk outside (well behaved dogs welcome)
- phone sessions
- video call sessions
Theoretical Approaches
I am termed an integrative counsellor because I incorporate different counselling approaches in my work:-
- Person Centered Therapy
- Gestalt Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Transactional Analysis (TA)
I see these approaches as simply offering different perspectives on life because different ways of looking at things at different times can be beneficial.
Above everything, how comfortable you feel working with me is the most crucial factor.
Where I am based
I am based in North Devon near Holsworthy and am also happy to travel 20min to meet you towards: Torrington, Bude, Hatherleigh, Okehampton & Launceston for 45p/mile to cover travel costs. I work with adults, teenagers & children 11+ as long as they are mature enough for Walk & Talk.
