About me
At certain points in life we may find ourselves facing experiences that challenge our sense of who we are, our relationships, or the direction of our lives. Therapy offers a space to reflect on these experiences and explore their meaning. I am a Counselling Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience as a therapist and more than 10 years as a qualified psychologist. Alongside private practice I work in the NHS, supporting people facing trauma, serious illness, loss, and major life changes.
I have particular experience supporting people affected by bereavement, cancer and serious illness, trauma and sexual violence, addiction, attachment and relationship difficulties, and anxiety or depression. I also work with people adjusting to injury, physical changes, or distressing experiences within healthcare.
My approach is thoughtful and collaborative. I work integratively, with existential, psychodynamic and IFS perspectives forming the foundation of my work, while drawing on other approaches where helpful. I am also trained in EMDR, an evidence-based therapy for trauma.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
