About me

Life can be overwhelming and challenging at times - making decisions can be hard.  It can be helpful to just have someone to talk to who will listen, for those times when you feel anxious, unable to cope or stressed.

A person may seek counselling for a variety of reasons, all of which are legitimate and unique to them. I promise to collaborate with you in a courteous, judgment-free, compassionate, and empathetic manner. I provide a safe time and a healing environment for you to think, reflect, and discover more about who you are, what you have been through, and perhaps even how you might want to go on. I can use a variety of counselling approaches and techniques to work with you as an integrative counsellor, depending on what works best for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my training at Waverley College in Farnham. I finished with a degree in BA (Hons) Counselling.

As a counsellor, I have worked with the charity Enfield Carers, working with people who are carers and helping them navigate the various challenges that they may face in this capacity. I have also worked with the charity Heart and Mind in both face-to-face and online counselling. I have had the privilege of journeying with people from a range of backgrounds, cultures, and ages.

I have worked with clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship problems, emotional problems, life transitions, unhealthy coping strategies, stress, and loss.

A client's feedback:

"I have become much more confident and value myself much more. I have better coping mechanisms and ways to deal with my anxiety and depression.  I feel a lot happier with my life and who I am as a person. I have better control over my anxious attachment style which is something I struggled with for many years." (November 2024)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
