About me

I understand that reaching out for help can often feel overwhelming, and I truly commend you for taking that step toward improving your mental health.

As a qualified Gestalt counsellor, I am deeply committed to supporting individuals and couples on their emotional journey toward self-awareness, healing, and connection. I approach therapy with a blend of cultural insight, empathy, and personal experience, drawing from my Italian heritage and my role as a mother to two young daughters.

Although I was born in Sicily, living in England has allowed me to integrate both cultures into my life. I've embraced the rich traditions and values of my Italian background while adapting to the British way of life. This blend of cultures has shaped who I am, giving me a unique perspective and appreciation for both.

My therapeutic style is dynamic and engaging. I am not the type of counsellor who simply sits with a clipboard and nods occasionally. Instead, I actively engage with you during our sessions to explore and understand whatever challenges you may be facing. My goal is to help you navigate these issues in a collaborative and meaningful way.

I am deeply curious and passionate about understanding the unique experience of each client. I believe in giving my clients the time and space they need to process their emotions and make progress at their own pace. I am patient and supportive, always ensuring they feel heard and valued.

I provide thoughtful feedback, offering guidance to help clients manage their emotions and challenges, empowering them to grow and heal in their own way.

I offer a holistic, integrative approach that fosters personal growth and emotional resilience. My aim is to help you become more present in your life, breaking negative patterns and cultivating the self-compassion and self-awareness needed to move forward in a positive direction.

Therapy Options:

I offer a range of therapy formats to suit your needs:

  • Long-term weekly sessions (face-to-face)
  • Short-term weekly sessions (face-to-face)

  • We will usually connect weekly, fortnightly or monthly at regular time slots.

It takes courage to seek support, and I would be honoured to be part of your journey to wellness and happiness.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the Gestalt Centre in London, and as a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics and care. I am also a member of the International Gestalt Integrative Institute, where I earned a certificate in Advanced Couples Therapy training.

In my Gestalt practice, I integrate creative experiments into sessions when appropriate. These techniques help deepen exploration and enhance self-awareness, encouraging clients to gain a richer understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

Having personally overcome the challenges of panic disorder, I know the importance of processing emotions in a safe, non-judgmental space. This experience informs my work, and I am passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their emotions and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.

Areas of Specialisation:

I have experience supporting clients through a range of issues, including:

  • Relationship difficulties
  • Anxiety
  • Panic attacks
  • OCD
  • Depression
  • Body image issues
  • Self-esteem struggles
  • Loneliness
  • Life transitions
  • Belonging
  • Trauma

In addition to individual counselling, I also work with couples to help them reconnect, improve communication, and navigate relationship complexities. By creating a safe, supportive environment, I guide couples in rediscovering mutual understanding and emotional intimacy, empowering them to strengthen their bond and move forward with greater clarity and compassion.

Having maintained a loving relationship with my partner for 21 years, I bring valuable personal insight into the complexities and demands that are necessary for a relationship to thrive. It’s not always easy, but it is certainly worth the effort.

My Approach:

My primary focus is to provide a nurturing space for healing and growth, empowering you to explore your emotional experiences in a way that promotes positive change and lasting well-being. I take a friendly and innovative approach, bringing both a personal touch and a sense of originality. I believe that by offering the right conditions and environment, you have the capacity to thrive.

Above all, I recognise the importance of the relationship between therapist and client in facilitating healing and growth. Through this connection, we can work together to unlock your potential for emotional resilience and self-compassion.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
