About me

You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed or ‘stuck’ in some way in your life. Or you may have had difficult experiences in the past, such as loss, trauma or abuse. I will work with you to explore the areas of your life which are causing difficulty or sadness, and to find a way forward. I can help you better understand unhelpful thoughts, behaviours and unconscious patterns which may be causing distress, and support you to adjust them to bring about lasting change. I am a relational counsellor, and work to build a strong, trusting relationship where you feel heard and are treated without judgement or prejudice.

I work with people aged 18+, and I bring a wealth of experience from the Priory Woking, college and hospice settings, and private practice. My integrative training encompassed developmental, psychodynamic, humanistic and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy approaches. This means that I can fit my counselling approach to your individual needs, and adjust as needed throughout our work together. I work with people aged 18 and over.

There are two main factors that predict success: you, and your relationship with your counsellor. It's really important that you find the right fit, so I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation for us to explore how we might work together and whether you feel we'd be a good fit. Please feel free to get in touch by phone or email to set this up.

I currently accept AXA, Aetna, Healix and Vitality health insurance.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
