About me

Hey, I'm Josephine — an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) — and I get it: looking for support can feel scary, but it’s also deeply empowering.

Let’s be honest — life’s more complicated than ever. Whether it’s relationship struggles, burnout, feeling disconnected, comparing yourself online, navigating identity, or just trying to keep your head above water — it’s a lot. You don’t have to face it all on your own.

We all go through times when life feels heavy or unclear — when we’re not sure how to move forward or who to talk to. Therapy can offer clarity, perspective, and tools to help you feel more grounded and in control. You don’t have to carry it all alone.

I offer a safe, judgment-free space where we can work through whatever’s going on — the messy, the overwhelming, the confusing, and the things you don’t feel like you can say out loud. Together, we’ll build understanding, tools that actually work for you, and room to breathe again.

Even when things feel uncertain or unfamiliar, I believe you know yourself best. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, curiosity, and care as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in your own time.

Therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself, with others, and with what really matters to you. It’s also a space to untangle what feels stuck, to let go of patterns that no longer serve you, and to make space for real change.

I work primarily online, which means sessions can fit flexibly into your life — wherever you are, you can show up just as you are. As an integrative therapist, I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic models to support you in the most meaningful way.

If you’re considering therapy or just curious about what it might offer, I’d love to hear from you. You've already taken a brave first step — feel free to get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

Before retraining in psychotherapy, I spent many years living and working in London, a time that has afforded me a well rounded view of what work/life balance really looks like. In this uncertain time of home-schooling and working from home, it can feel like an impossible balancing act of managing multiple demands and how unresolved tensions can have a domino effect on our mental health, identity, self-esteem and confidence.

Since then I have gone on to work with clients and patient across a vast array of sectors everything from Clinical Director, NHS to Armed Forces and Prisons to Harley Street. I have now moved to Cornwall to be nourished by nature which by definition addresses balances in my own life and informs my practice.

I am trained to work with a number of issues, including trauma, bereavement, intercultural, depression, anxiety, high risk and I am also an adult and youth Mental Health First Aider.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
