About me

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor with over 15 years of dedicated work in mental health services. I am trained in both Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which enables me to adapt my approach to best support your unique needs. As an addiction specialist, I have a strong focus on supporting clients through their recovery journeys, emphasising compassion and understanding.

My Approach

Central to my work is the use of empathy. I believe that understanding and genuine compassion are essential in creating a safe and trusting environment. I prioritise listening deeply and responding with empathy to help you feel truly heard and supported. This compassionate approach is particularly vital when working with addiction and recovery, as it fosters trust, encourages openness, and empowers clients to take positive steps forward.

Support for Addiction and Recovery

Supporting clients through addiction and recovery requires patience, respect, and understanding. I am committed to helping you explore the roots of your challenges while providing practical coping strategies and emotional support. I aim to create a supportive space where you can work through difficult feelings, build resilience, and develop sustainable strategies for long-term recovery.

Sessions Offered

I offer flexible counselling sessions via face-to-face meetings, online video calls, and phone consultations. This ensures you can access support in a way that suits your lifestyle and comfort level. My goal is to walk alongside you, offering empathy, encouragement, and tailored guidance every step of the way.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
