About me

When life feels tough, for whatever reason that may be, having a confidential space to talk things through can really make a difference. I'm here to make that space as safe and welcoming as possible.

As a person-centred counsellor, my aim is to develop a relationship between us built on trust, acceptance and understanding, and support you in exploring the things that are troubling you. I believe that through this kind of relationship it is possible to re-connect with the core of your being and begin to express yourself in ways that feel more authentic to who you really are. Once we know ourselves, change can begin to take place.

Counselling can be a unsettling, confusing and messy process. It is my intention to hold this space for you with kindness, compassion, honesty and respect and I aim to provide a space that is inclusive, safe, respectful and open to everyone. The space is yours to use as you wish. I will not give advice or tell you what to do and we will go at your pace.

I will however, pick up on recurring themes, feelings or patterns of behaviour and gently reflect these back to you. Together, we'll gain insight into why you might think, feel and behave in certain ways, begin to challenge your existing beliefs and perspectives, and start working towards making the changes that you want to see.

I offer a free online / telephone consultation (25 mins) where we can talk about some of the reasons that bring you to counselling, what you might like help with and ask any questions that you have.

I have availability to see new clients in-person and online. I offer a sliding scale of fees. Concessions are for students, NHS staff, care workers and unemployed / low-income. Please enquire for availability and fees.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Advanced Diploma (Level 5) - Network Counselling & Training
  • Advanced Certificate in Counselling Skills - Network Counselling & Training

I have 10+ years of experience working in the social care sector, primarily within children's / young person's services and fostering settings.

I provide counselling for a charity offering support to parent carers or those providing care for a loved one with long-term illness.

My personal and professional experience has helped equip me to work with people who are neurodiverse (diagnosed or not), particularly those living with ADHD.

I aim to provide a space that is inclusive, safe, respectful and open to everyone. As a registered member of the NCPS, I am bound by their ethical code and committed to maintaining high standards of practice and confidentiality as well as to my own ongoing personal and professional development.
