About me

Hi, I’m Joanne. I’m an experienced, LGBTQ+ affirming and trauma-informed counsellor offering a warm, compassionate space where you can feel truly seen and heard.

I support people in exploring a wide range of experiences, including sexuality, gender identity, relationship challenges, and the impact of past trauma. Whether you’re questioning, navigating change, healing from difficult experiences, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, we can move at a pace that feels safe and right for you.

I also have experience working with neurodivergent clients and understand the importance of adapting therapy to suit different ways of thinking, feeling, and processing the world.

My approach is collaborative, gentle, and grounded in respect, you are the expert on your own life, and I’m here to walk alongside you.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re looking for a space where you can bring your whole self, I’d be honoured to work with you.

I offer in person counselling at Kings Cross (just across the road from the tube and train station) and online counselling

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, you’re very welcome to reach out. I understand it can feel daunting, especially if you’ve felt misunderstood before. We can have a conversation to see whether working together feels like a good fit for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have additional training in LGBTQIA+ counselling and have worked exclusively with LGBTQIA+ clients for over two years. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within the community, and I strive to create an affirming, safe, and supportive space

Further information

At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach, which means your experiences and needs guide the process. I can also work creatively, such as timeline work, role play, and breathwork techniques to help you feel more grounded and supported. As a qualified breathwork coach, I find these practices can be especially helpful in easing stress and creating space for self-discovery.
